It sure has been pretty outside!

Jack and Emma and Sophie and I are having a ball running the fence with our neighbors and playing and laying in the grass.  And it isn't hot outside which makes it perfect for us pups!

Have you been in your yard this week?

aaahh choooo!  (excuse me)

Licks and kisses, your pal, Joey!

The Quilting Angels are a sewing bee that makes quilts for charity.  Anyone who would like to join us is welcome to come participate.

We provide quilt kits cut out and ready to sew, all made from donated fabrics.  Our next bee day is Monday, May 15.  We meet from 10:00 to 4:00 at Quilter's Emporium.  Currently, we are working on quilts to donate to a battered women's shelter at the request of one of the shop employees whose friend lost her life at the hands of a violent ex-husband.  If you would like to donate money to help us buy batting for these quilts, we have a donation container next to the register at the shop.  I am happy to say that with the help of several new volunteer longarmers, we are finally starting to get caught up with getting the backlog of quilt tops quilted.  It is nice to not feel so overwhelmed anymore.  Any and all help with the quilting is so appreciated!

If you have any questions about Quilting Angels, you can email Susan at

Quilters are always sew special!  Susan
